It feels like I say “here’s something different” every week but really here’s something different. Last week’s mix was pretty chill but I had these other tracks that kind of fit into the theme and just kind of continued it. This is more head music than body music. This is kind of relaxing and dubbed out stuff. Long expansive tracks w/ deep mixes using loops. As always thanks for listening.

This DJ mix is a bit of a trip. Starts off w/ some underground sounds but then works its way to pop bangers (not a lot of DJs going to put Carly Rae Jepsen in the middle of some breakbeats) before working our way to some techno then ending w/ more breaks and ultimately an 80s industrial track. What can I say? I love it.

I used to throw a party back in the day where the concept was inviting DJs on to spin their most diverse sets, to try to break people out of their comfortable genres. Techno DJs would add in house, House DJs would add in hip hop, and so on. Trying to get fellow DJs to be more creative so they didn’t have to be stuck in one genre. We called the party and style Genrevore because we ate up everything and it was always a delight (will never forget Kid Amiga dropping the Simpsons theme song out of nowhere).
This set is kind of like that. Pop, underground, house, techno, breaks, a little bit of everything but still distinctly my own style coming through. Enjoy!
